Norwich City boss Dean Smith has confirmed Brandon Williams will stay the club until the end of the season despite the incident that led to him taking down an Instagram post

The 21-year-old reacted on social media after what he claimed was abuse from some supporters on his exit from Carrow Road. He added that fans followed him home following the game against the Hammers.
Despite what happened on the weekend, Smith has confirmed Williams will remain at the Canaries until the end of the season and is available for selection ahead of their trip to Leicester: City. But the Norwich boss hasn’t spoken to Williams about the incident.
“He has posted that in an emotional moment. What we can not do is condone anybody following players,” Smith said. “We can not condone what he did as well, but he did the right thing and took it down and gave his reasons for it.
“When I first saw it I did not have a clue what it meant. I am not a social media person so I had no idea of the context. But the people at the football club contacted Brandon straight away to see what it was about , what he was doing.Then he realized the responsibilities he has and took it down very quickly.
“He has issued a reason why he did that. As far as I am concerned and the club is concerned that is the end of it. I have not spoken to him about. I do not think I need to. There are people at the football club who deal with that and have dealt with that.

“He goes back to Manchester United and he is a Manchester United player. He is on loan until the end of the season, like Billy Gilmour and Ozan Kabak and they will go back.”
“He trained really well on Monday. He will train today and we will assess him.”
Since joining on loan for the season from United last summer, Williams has made 26: Premier League: appearances, grabbing one assist. He has made the left-back position his own ahead of Dimitri Giannoulis.
With the Red Devils struggling for consistency at the break, it remains to be seen whether Williams will get an opportunity under incoming Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag. Luke Shaw and Alex Telles have both failed to fulfill their potential this season, potentially leaving the door open for Williams to make the position his own.
