Spanish giants: Barcelona: have reportedly ‘censored’ their social media activity after one of their youth prospects channelled: Manchester United: star: Cristiano Ronaldo:.

Youngster Fermin Lopez netted a brilliant bicycle kick in Juvenil A’s 3-0 victory against Cornella at the weekend. After finding the net, the 18-year-old elected to channel Portuguese superstar Ronaldo with his iconic celebration.

The youngster jumped in the air before performing the forward’s ‘siu’ celebration – a move that has appeared to anger: Barcelona: ‘s social media team. Having initially displayed the celebration on the live broadcast of the match, Brand: have suggested that it has been cut out on further shares of the goal on the Catalan giants’ Instagram: accounts.

It is certainly no surprise to see Barcelona make the move to remove any Ronaldo association from their accounts. The Portuguese superstar has racked up an incredible record against the Camp Nou outfit.

Throughout his career, he has netted 20 goals in all competitions against Barcelona. Only against Sevilla, Atletico Madrid and Getafe has Ronaldo netted more goals.

No doubt the Catalan club were on the receiving end of the celebration on a number of occasions during the now 37-year-old’s stint at the Santiago Bernabeu. He previously revealed that he first used the celebration during a pre-season clash with Manchester United’s: Premier League: rivals: Chelsea:.

Speaking in 2019, he said: “Well, I was in the US and we played against Chelsea and I do not know where it came from. I just scored and I went, ‘sii!’ But it was natural, to be honest.

“After that, I started doing it and I feel like the fans, when they see me they’re like ‘sii’ and I was like, ‘wow, people remember Cristiano because of the sii,’ so I continued like that.”

Ronaldo has certainly gone through with the celebration on a number of occasions so far this season. After returning to Old Trafford from Juventus last summer:he has found the net on 22 occasions in all competitions and has scored seven goals in his last four Premier League appearances.

That goal-scoring form has not helped Manchester United in their task to secure a place in the Premier League top four though. The Red Devils have won just two out of their last eight league games and are now six points off the: Champions League: places with just four games left to play.

They host Chelsea at Old Trafford on Thursday evening aiming to avoid a third consecutive loss having fallen to defeat to: Liverpool: and: Arsenal: in each of their last two games.
